Ideal Image version 8 is completely integrated with Centricity. With version 8, there are no standalone icons. Viewing is exclusively started from within Centricity.
Version 8 is scanner independent. Images can be managed by pointing the Image Manager to any local or network directory of scanned images. And, lower cost scanners can now be used for front desk operations.
Another great new feature is that version 8 will allow the user to attach images to new or existing EMR clinical documents.
Bar codes can be printed on any document and intelligently routed based on the bar code. One barcode can be used to automatically route an archived medical record to the correct patient, folder and clinical document.
Images can be assigned to multiple patients (i.e. insurance cards for same family members, authorizations, EOBs, patient directives, etc.).
Now, occasionally documents are filed in error. Version 8 allows the user to reassign improperly filed documents eliminating the need to delete and rescan improperly filed documents.
Ideal Image allows the user to click on user defined "Quick Pick" buttons to assign commonly scanned images like drivers' licenses and insurance cards. This will greatly increase the efficiency and accuracy of front desk image processing.
Best of all, Ideal Image Version 8 can be installed and upgraded from the Final Support website. This means that there is no costly
downtime for upgrading future releases.
